The Furman University Campus is one of my favorite places to do outdoor family portrait photography because of the variety of looks you can get in such a small area. The Romoser family was sooooo fun to photograph, not just because they look great in pictures, but were excited to be there. It didn’t hurt that a family of ducks with some little bitty furry (I know it’s not actually fur) ducklings showed up at the little pond right when we started the session. The kids loved watching the ducks almost as much as the adults! Here are a few of our favorites from the Romoser’s family photo session. Furman University, the alma mater for both Russell and Jessie, was the perfect location for their engagement pictures. We even got some great photos in front of Johns Hall, the building where both their college major classes were located. We had a great time photographing them, partly because they’re great in front of the camera…not camera shy AT all! Also, they’re just so perfect together and love to laugh. We’re looking forward to photographing their wedding later this year. Check out Russell & Jessie’s Wedding Photos View More Engagement...

Furman University has a beautiful campus with so much variety for backdrops for a bridal portrait. With the trees in bloom, this particular day was spectacular. Congrats to Lauren and Heath! The Lake and Belltower make a beautiful background for a bridal portrait at Furman. With a little extra light (from a radio controlled flash) to balance with the sun light from behind, this became a powerful and dramatic portrait. Lauren was nice to be patient while we took a few extra minutes to set this up…totally worth...

Congrats to Jon and Marci Williams! A slight cloud cover provided beautiful soft lighting for photos at Furman University of Jon and Marci and their wedding party after their first look at the Furman Bell Tower. Even though “first looks” are optional and not all couples like to see each other before their ceremony, a November wedding comes with an early sundown making it the best option for outdoor photographs. Good choice this time for sure! It was a special moment for both of them, and an amazing and memorable wedding day. Furman is a great place to photograph year-round, but I particularly enjoy a Fall Furman Wedding. Wedding day “getting-ready” photographs at the Hyatt Place and Hilton hotels in Greenville, SC.
